Maison Margiela’s combination of pattered fabric, layered draping, and corseted bodices brings a unique edge perfect for an Italian Black Tie wedding.

Christian Dior’s collection is a nostalgic and sweet blend of bohemian lace and classic Dior silhouettes. An upscale English Countryside Garden bride would be delighted to wear this collection for her wedding weekend.

Ellie Saab brings a playful color palette with chic maximalism in this Fall 2025 show. Inspiration for both the bride and her guests, I see these gowns in a grand New York City soirée.

Jean Paul Gaultier is a force with a feathered off-the-shoulder gown on a Victorian-like silhouette. I see this collection is for a French Estate wedding with extravagant decor, and even more extravagant entertainment. The high-fashion bride wears this center look for her welcome party, and the high-low corseted gown for the reception dinner.

The Chanel Fall 2025 Couture collection is a take on modern classics. These knee-length skirts and sweaters to match belong on a bride in early fall Nantucket.

Lastly, Rodarte leaned into the gothic bride in this Fall 2025 collection. In a costume-like look book, these pieces are understated elegance with a twist. These are gowns to consider for an intentional bride with a touch of modern romance.

Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress by Ann Lowe 💌

Made from over 50 yards of silk taffeta, Jackie’s gown is still a major inspiration for brides & designers alike. Like much of the Kennedy’s history, Jackie’s dress has a unique story of its own. Days before the wedding, a pipe burst in Lowe’s studio destroying the original gown taking 9 bridesmaids’ dresses with it. Ann Lowe and her team worked tirelessly to recreate the dress in time at a loss of $2,200 - about $21,000 in today’s money.

Ann Lowe was not originally credited for her work despite every aspect of the day being reported on. It was Nina Hyde of The Washington Post who mentioned Ann Lowe’s name, which would have otherwise been written off. Years passed before Jackie learned of the ordeal Lowe and her team went through. It was then that Lowe received a payment from an “anonymous friend” which cut her debt to the IRS in half. Of course, Anna Lowe suspects the friend to have been Jackie.
